Tuaran: The 24-year-old man who was seriously injured after being trapped in the car he was driving that crashed into the fence of a house on Jalan Tamparuli-Tuaran, near the Telibong petrol station on May 1, has died.
Adri Bidin, from Kg Tambalugu, died at Queen Elizabeth I Hospital (QEH I) in Kota Kinabalu at 7.30am on Monday (May 2) due to internal organ and head injuries.
Tuaran District Police Chief ASP Raji Hussin Suhodin confirmed this when contacted.
He said the victim was initially found unconscious by firefighters before being taken to Tuaran Hospital and was later referred to QEH I for further treatment.
“The hospital informed the police yesterday (Wednesday) that the victim has passed away and an autopsy will be performed today (Thursday),” he added.
The victim is believed to have lost control and collided with a water pipe on the shoulder of the road before crashing into a house fence at 7.50pm on Sunday.
