Kota Kinabalu: Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (Star) Sabah appreciates the contribution of the private sector in channeling the contribution of food products to the community in need.
Star Sabah Vice President Kapitan Stephen Teo said the donations channeled by food manufacturers could help the recipients during the pandemic and during the festivity.
“We are grateful because the cooperation allows us to distribute buns, especially to some areas in the West Coast of Sabah,” said Stephen, who is also the Head of Star Karambunai Division.
Stephen said this when handing over a donation of 500 buns to the Chief Coordinator of Star Kota Belud, Jalumin Bayogoh for the breaking of fast ceremony ahead of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
The contribution of Kim Teck Cheong (KTC) Consolidated Bhd’s factory products at KKIP was channeled by Executive Director Datuk Dexter Lau.
To date, Star-KTC distributed 15,500 buns to recipients in several parliamentary areas such as Sepanggar, Tuaran, Penampang, Kota Marudu, Kota Belud, Ranau, Sipitang, Pensiangan, Papar, Kimanis and Putatan.
He said his party will continue to work with KTC to implement the charity programme to distribute foodstuffs produced by the company’s factory.
