Sabahans’ lives matter, Kuala Lumpur told
Kota Kinabalu: SAPP, a component of the ruling Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition, warned of “further political action and legal action” if the Federal Government continues to not prioritise lives in Sabah in the event of emergencies.

This followed a second tragedy within a year – and fifth death to date – that has been blamed by family members of victims and witnesses on the slow response due to emergency calls needing to be directed to MERS999 call centres located outside Sabah before being attended to by the relevant Sabah agencies.

“This is a ridiculous situation as though Sabahans lives don’t matter,” said SAPP Vice President Gee Tien Siong (pic).
