KENINGAU: Some teachers and non-teaching staff of SK Pengaraan, in Nabawan, who previously had to trudge 18 hours through the night in order to reach the school did so this time in style – by helicopter. With school reopening today (Monday) after Raya holidays they were, initially, worried of a repeat experience and thought of preparing camping equipment.
During their discussions, they decided to ask for help to get helicopter services and their prayers were answered when Pensiangan MP Datuk Arthur Kurup, who is also Federal Deputy Works Minister arranged for two helicopters from Sabah Air to assist them.
