SANDAKAN: Umno Beluran Division Head Julie Sabran suggested to the Malaysian Health Ministry (MOH) to repurpose the MySejahtera application into a national health and patient database system.

With MySejahtera scans no longer being required, she said it would be better to modify its functionality rather than putting it to waste.

“Among others, perhaps it could include public health services, applying for appointments to hospitals or government health clinics while a patient’s history data can be stored in the system,” she told reporters at her Raya Aidilfitri Open House, in Sandakan.

In another development, Julie who is also a Board Member of the Cooperative Commission of Malaysia (SKM) said SKM will hold a carnival in Kota Kinabalu in conjunction with the 100th Anniversary of the ‘Koperasi Membangun Keluarga Malaysia’ movement.
