Kota Kinabalu: Sabah's prediction that the Hari Raya celebrations would spark increases in new Covid-19 cases proved true again as the state's daily caseload jumped further to 78 today.
Today's number was 21 cases or 37 percent more than yesterday's, said an update shared by the spokesman for the crisis, Datuk Masidi Manjun.
Kota Kinabalu and Papar were the only districts with two-digit fresh cases today.
Daily case counts in the capital and districts around it are expected to keep increasing until the first week of June, added the update.
