BEAUFORT: A stroke patient was sent to hospital by fire and rescue team after his family was unable to get him out due to the flood here.
District Fire and Rescue Station Chief Mohammad Hasbullah Nenggok said they received a distressed call at 8.21am on Wednesday from Kg Luagan.
“We were told that the patient was trapped in the flood, making it difficult for him to get treatment.
“A team with lorry as well as an Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) were deployed to the location,” he said.
On the same day, Mohammad Hasbullah said a team was also sent to rescue a family trapped in flood after receiving a call at 10.57am.
“A family consisting of three males and four females were rescued with a boat and lorry before being sent to a temporary evacuation centre at Dewan Masyarakat Datuk Dun,” he said.
