Kota Kinabalu: Sabah registered 48 new Covid-19 infections on Monday, up five from Sunday’s 43 cases.
In a statement Monday, Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said no significant changes had taken place during the past 24 hours.
“With 23 new cases (up three), Kota Kinabalu continued to see double-digit infections, while Penampang (seven cases) and Tuaran (five cases) also had an increase,” he said.
On Monday, Sandakan, which was infection-free on Sunday, registered six new cases.
In the last 24 hours, no new infections were reported in 17 districts (18 districts on Sunday), while nine districts reported single-digit new infections.
Only one new infection was found in five of the nine districts.
On Monday, 46 of the 48 new cases were in categories one and two, one case was in category four, and one case was in category five.
