Kota Kinabalu: A section of Jalan Tamparuli-Ranau connecting Kampungs Lokos and Pahu in Kiulu, Tuaran collapsed yesterday, prompting authorities to ask motorists to take alternative routes.
The Tuaran Works Department's engineer, Farini Awang, reportedly said Jalan Pukak-Pahu-Nulu at Kilometer 19.2 Kiulu was closed last midnight after reports were received on the collapse.
On May 13, a small slide occurred on that slope after incessant rain, causing one side of the road to be closed, but at 5pm yesterday, another landslide happened, causing both sides to be sealed.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes along Jalan Tomis Tiong-Lokos and Jalan Bundu Tuhan.
