 Government concerned about education needs: CM

TAWAU: The Gabungan Rakyat Sabah- Barisan Nasional (GRS-BN) Government has introduced several initiatives to reduce the burden of students.

Those studying at university for the first time receive a one-off of RM2,000 each under a programme, Budi.

“For those who sit for the SPM, STPM and STAM examinations, each gets one off RM200 in preparation for the examination under a government aid called Bakti,” said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

He said 5,000 students received Budi assistance in 2021 while 40,000 students enjoyed Bakti.
