Labuan Liberty Wharf facilities improved
LABUAN: The over two-decade-old facilities at the Labuan containerised port of Labuan Liberty Wharf have improved significantly following a major facelift by the port’s new operator, Megah Port Management Sdn Bhd.

The operator spent a big allocation for the improvement of facilities at the port that stretches from the main entrance to the jetty area. The overall improvements included better parking, lighting, sewage, water and electricity facilities that cater to the demands of the oil and gas as well as shipping industries.

The warehouse within the port premises has been refurbished and the open container yard cemented, ensuring the safety of the storage of containers.

Minister of Transport Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong, who is on a two-day visit to Labuan beginning Thursday, received a briefing on the port upgrade.
