Kota Marudu cocoa beans win gold

Kota Kinabalu: One of Malaysia’s poorest districts – Kota Marudu, won a gold medal for producing one of the world’s top quality cocoa beans from Asean region in an international competition.

This was revealed by Malaysian Cocoa Board Director-General in Ramli Kasin, on the occasion of the first visit to the Board’s Cocoa Biotechnology Research Centre in KKIP by Deputy Minister of Plantation Industries & Commodities, Datuk Willie Anak Mongin.

Willie was on the Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob’s Keluarga Malaysia Agri-Commodity Tour programme 2022.
