Community urged to respect other cultures
Kimjus with others witnessing the slaughter of buffaloes.
BEAUFORT: Local Government and Assistant Housing Minister Datuk Isnin Aliasnih urged the community to be respectful of different cultures and religions and avoid hostility that would bring unrest to the State.“We must respect each other to ensure peace and to make Sabah exemplary when it comes to unity among various ethnic groups in the State,” he said.

He added that there are more than 33 ethnic groups with various religions in Sabah, therefore it was important for people not to insult each other to avoid any misunderstanding.
“It is more harmful if that happens and if it happens then it will be difficult for the security forces to calm down and of course the country will be in chaos,”

As such, Isnin cautioned against such kind of situations and hoped that the community would be more mindful of their words. Meanwhile, the buffalo meat was distributed to districts in the Padas Zone, including Beaufort, Membakut, Bongawan, Kuala Penyu and Sipitang.
