Kota Kinabalu: Team Rambai won the Datuk William Majimbon Cup football tournament organised by Inanam Town Mix Veteran FC team at the UMS synthetic pitch on Sunday.

They defeated Mintunui 2-0 in the final with goals scored by Kuan Tet Tonduliu and Adrence Joannes to take home the RM500 winning prize while the losing finalists received RM300.

In third place were Doringin while Ligaman finished fourth in the knock-out competition involving the top four teams in the group stage held earlier which was won by Mintunui with an unbeaten record.

Meanwhile, Inanam Community Development Leader Datuk William Majimbon praised the organisers and said it will help to strengthen friendship.

He also offered his support to hold such a tournament and hopes to see more teams from Inanam and Manggatal participating in the future.
