Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s Covid-19 caseload continued to rise to 66 on Wednesday from 52 the day earlier, while one death was recorded in Kota Belud.
Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said Kota Kinabalu’s cases increased by six to 38, while Sandakan also recorded an increase of seven cases after zero infections the day earlier.
He said nine districts recorded an increase in cases while six districts recorded a decrease.
“There are no new cases in 13 districts, while another 13 districts recorded single-digit figures of which six recorded one case only,” he said in a statement, Wednesday.
Masidi said 57.58 per cent of cases were symptomatic, while no new clusters were identified.
He said 64 out of 66 cases were category one and two infections, while two cases were recorded in category four.
On Sabah’s immunisation programme, 872 individuals took their vaccines on May 24, of which 310 were adults, 53 were teenagers and 509 were children.
