SANDAKAN: A 31-year-old man has surrendered to the police here after allegedly murdering his girlfriend’s mother.

An initial investigation found that the suspect met the 59-year-old victim and her 25-year-old daughter at their apartment, here, Saturday.

An argument erupted before the suspect slit the victim’s throat. The victim died at the scene, while her daughter was slightly injured.

The motive of the murder is still under investigation and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
