RM54.5m start for State education fund
Hajiji witnessed the handing over of a cheque replica of a RM50 million contribution from the State Government for TPNS by the State Finance Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Datuk Haji Rusdin Rimin to the Special Tasks Minister Datuk Dr Haji Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif, who is also the Chairman of TPNS Implementation Committee.
Kota Kinabalu: The Gabungan Rakyat Sabah-Barisan Nasional (GRS-BN) State Government launched the promised Sabah Education Fund (TPNS), Thursday, with RM54.5 million raised so far.It is one of the initiatives to boost the education agenda in Sabah. Officiating the launch at Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor said the initiative themed “Sponsorship Opportunity For All” opened a new door for the people in Sabah, especially those in the B40 bracket, to further their education to the highest level.
