KOTA BELUD: A man was almost killed when he lost control of his motorcycle which fell into a five-metre ravine in Kg Mandap, here, Monday.
The 48-year-old victim, known only as Josh, suffered minor injuries in the 8.45am incident.
Kota Belud District Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) Chief Muhammad Syazwan Latun said seven personnel rushed to the scene along with a fire engine and a utility vehicle upon receiving an emergency call at 8.51am.
He said the victim was seen lying in the ravine and was taken out using a Robinson stretcher.
“The victim was given early treatment before being sent in an ambulance to the Kota Belud hospital for further treatment,” he said.
Fortunately, Syazwan said, the incident was noticed by other users as the location is far from people’s homes.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
