Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s haj pilgrims will depart for Madinah via the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) from next Monday.
Tabung Haji Sabah Director Yusdi Nasip said the flights are scheduled to depart on June 13 and 14 involving a total of 284 pilgrims.
The departure ceremony is expected to be officiated by Head of State Tun Juhar Mahiruddin at Raia Hotel, near Sembulan.
“The flight on the first day will involve 142 pilgrims from the West Coast, including Kota Belud, the Federal Territory of Labuan and Lawas, Sarawak, who will be combined with other pilgrims at KLIA.
“The flight to KLIA on the second day will involve 142 pilgrims from the East Coast of Sabah such as Semporna, Sandakan, Lahad Datu and Tawau,” he said here on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Yusdi said all Tabung Haji depositors are required to use the THiJARI application for online deposit transactions which was introduced in July 2019.
