KENINGAU: Federal Deputy Works Minister Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup said electricity supply is a necessity and needs provision to expand the rural infrastructure.He said the construction of the Sook Main Distribution Substation (PPU) would help as a catalyst for economic development and spur the growth of agriculture and tourism sectors in the area.
“The government has given more focus in the 12th Malaysia Plan to ensure that the rural people, especially in Sabah, can enjoy a stable and sustainable electricity supply for 24 hours,” he said.
