SANDAKAN: The Sandakan Welfare Services Office is seeking the public’s help in locating the family or relatives of Shazrayyan Haiqal (pic) who is now 14-years-old.District Welfare Officer Rodin Suri Arif said the boy’s mother handed the child over to a man in April 2008.

“According to the man, on April 9, 2008, a woman named Norsiah Hiya (the boy’s mother) surrendered the infant to him at the Pasir Putih housing area in Taman Melanta Block G Lot 61, here, when the child was only four months old,” he said.
The mother left the child’s clothes, medical card and birth certificate with the man and never returned for the boy despite many attempts to contact her.
