BEAUFORT: Two houses in Lumadan and Klias, in Beaufort, were destroyed by fire separately on Thursday and Friday.Beaufort Fire and Rescue Station Chief Mohammad Hasbullah Nenggok said on Friday, a house in Kg Pulai Manang, Lumadan, was destroyed in a fire which broke out around 1.30am.
He said the house was already completely destroyed when firemen arrived.
On Thursday, Mohammad Hasbullah said a non-permanent house in Kampung Kebulu, Klias was destroyed in just a few minutes.
He said there were no casualties in the two incidents, the cause of which and losses were under investigation.
He also said the fire brigade received an emergency call on Wednesday about a rattlesnake in Kg Lubak Baru.
The cobra was found in the wall of the complainant’s room and it was caught by fire and rescue personnel using a snake catcher.
