KOTA MARUDU: The International WeLoveU Foundation, in a collaboration with Kota Marudu District Council (MDKM), organised a beach clean-up activity at Teringai Beach here Sunday, participated by about 30 people including WeLoveU members, family members and friends (pic). They filled up 30 bags with all sorts of trash like waste vinyl, cigarette butts, waste plastics and used disposables, which had been lying scattered along the river during the two-hour-long activity, which successfully brought back the cleanliness and beauty of Teringai Beach.
MDKM welcomed the clean-up activity and provided bags, garbage trucks and other tools.
Its representative, Assistant Executive Officer Jonny thanked and congratulated WeLoveU Foundation for successfully organising the clean-up activity at Teringai Beach.
“We are willing to work together at any time and very much welcome activities like this in the future,” he said.
A WeLoveU member, Myli Kartinah Meijin, 28, who also participated in the Clean WORLD Movement said she is very thankful for participating in the clean-up activity and if given a chance in the future, she will participate again and hope more people will be united to take care of the beauty of the beach and city.
