Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s Covid-19 cases rose to 98 on Wednesday from 82 the day earlier, which was also the highest figure recorded since the last all-time low of 22 cases on May 7.Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said there were relatively more districts that recorded new infections, with only 11 districts recording zero infections compared to 14 the day earlier. Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 34 cases, followed by Penampang (22), Sandakan (7), Papar (6), Putatan (6), Beluran (4), Tambunan (3) and Beaufort (2).
“Overall, nine districts recorded a rise compared to seven that recorded a decrease,” he said in a statement, Wednesday, adding that no deaths and new clusters were identified. Masidi said all 98 cases were category one and two infections, of which 70 per cent were sporadic.
