TAWAU: The Federation of Chinese Associations Tawau (FCAT) is sending a team to participate in the Mixed category of the Seventh International Dragon Boat Race 2022 July 2-3.

FCAT president, Datuk Dr Lim Teck Kiong said the team consists of 18 players and three alternates led by Henery Wong. Lim said the Federation of Chinese Associations Sabah (FCAS) resumes organising its internationally-renowned annual dragon boat race this year after being suspended the last two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

He also believed the annual event tends to promote the Chinese traditional culture especially to the young generations, apart from boosting local tourism industry.
