Kota Kinabalu: Sabah's top 2021 SPM student didn't have it easy while preparing for the exams - he had to contend with the pandemic and care for his ill father.

Ahmad Nabil Abidin of SMK Agama Kota Kinabalu achieved 12As: Nine A+s, 2As and 1 A-.

Nabil did not consider his situation as an alibi to give up but instead, it gave him an even bigger encouragement to study harder despite having to study at home.

“My parents have always given me support especially when learning from home and tried their best to provide me with a comfortable learning environment," he said.
