PENAMPANG: Four Form Five students were rescued while two others are still missing after they were swept away during a swim in Sungai Timpangoh, Kg Pogunon, near here, Saturday.

The SM St Michael students, all aged 17, had cancelled their football game and instead went for a dip in the river during heavy rain.

The two missing were identified as Harold Walter and Tomansi Olaf.

It is believed the six boys drifted away from each other in the strong current made worse by heavy rainwater that ran down a hill into the river, said a Fire and Rescue official.
