CHIEF Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor hoped the good ties and close cooperation between Sabah and China in various fields could be further strengthened for the benefit of both parties.

He said Sabah welcomes investors from China to invest in the State, apart from the arrival of tourists from the republic, as Sabah has many beautiful and unique natural resources.

“I hope the new Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China in Kota Kinabalu, Huang Shifang, and the Consul General’s Office here will play an important role in helping to promote Sabah as one of the major tourism and investment destinations for the Chinese people,” he said while receiving a courtesy call from Huang at his office at Menara Kinabalu, Kota Kinabalu, on June 16.

Welcoming Huang to Sabah, Hajiji hoped many Chinese tourists would visit Sabah when the republic’s citizens are allowed to travel abroad again.
