Kota Kinabalu: Usahawan Borneo Group (UBG) will be fully sponsoring the 6th UBG Challenge Cup Annual Golf Tournament 2022.
The golf tournament will be held at the Tawau Golf Club (TGC) on June 25-26 with 200 participants.
The competition is limited to 200 participants and that registration has reached maximum capacity. This is also the largest number of participants since the UBG Challenge Cup was hosted in previous years.
Chairman of UBG Datuk Elbert Lim Yu Ming, an entrepreneur and philanthropist is actively promoting sports activities and encourages young people to participate in healthy sports activities. Last month, UGB sponsored several sports events including the UBG Cup Badminton Tournament 2022 which had attracted 500 players.
Elbert hoped sports will inspire more young people to take part in healthy activities and stay away from bad habits or unhealthy activities.
He hoped the golf tournament will cultivate more young golfers for Tawau and subsequently for the state of Sabah.
There will be lucky draws which include prizes such as a 50 inch television and 30 cash prizes.
The golf tournament also added a category of “Two Holes In One” where the winner stand to win a Toyota Hilux.
