SANDAKAN: Firefighters prevented a man in his 20s from jumping from a flat at Mile 7, Sandakan, at 8.44pm on Tuesday.In a statement, here, Wednesday, Sandakan Fire and Rescue Station Chief Jimmy Lagung said a distress call prompted eight firemen led by Haris Mustapha to the scene some 10 kilometres away. Two policemen were also at the scene. Jimmy said the man did not sustain any injuries and was turned over to the police for further action. The operation ended at 9.40pm.
