LABUAN: Sabah United Chinese Chamber of Commerce (SUCCC) President Tan Sri Andrew Liew said encouraging progress has been made in the negotiation on the proposed Wisma Tiong Hua Sabah Building.
He also believed there will be good news soon.
The negotiation involves SUCCC, United Sabah Chinese Communities Association of Kota Kinabalu (USCCAKK) and Asian Pac Holding Bhd’s subsidiary company, Cahaya Riang Sdn Bhd.
According to Liew, he will brief all the SUCCC Affiliate Presidents and Committee at their next meeting.
He said this while speaking as the guest of honour to officiate the Labuan Chinese Chamber of Commerce (LCCC) 37th Committee Installation Ceremony held at Harbour Waterfront Restaurant.
“I sincerely hope that all members will unite with SUCCC as one with firm determination and confidence to realise this plan,” he said.
Liew said SUCCC and USCCAKK have been working tirelessly even during the Movement Control Order (MCO) during the past two years to overcome difficulties to pursue the proposed building which will be the landmark for both associations, apart from making it a landmark in Sabah.
LCCC President Datuk Wong Kii Yii praised Liew for his contributions, especially under his wise leadership, to properly solve the problems faced by the Wisma Sabah Tiong Hua Building plan.
He hoped that each affiliates of SUCCC would continue to give their 100 per cent support to Liew, so that the plan could be implemented as soon as possible.
