“It is an act of hope that my story and my family’s story can contribute to the relationship between the nation of my birth and the nation to which I belong, that it can bring information to strengthen the relationship between our countries,” Penny told a select audience at Le Meridien, Wednesday.

Penny, the first of Asian descent and who earlier served as Australia’s Climate Change Minister, played a leading part in the return of the Albanese Labour Government in that country’s elections in May, this year.
