TAWAU: District police chief ACP Jasmin Hussin urged all parents to conduct urine test for drugs their at home with on Rapid Test Dipstick pharmacy.
He hoped all parties especially parents and Parents Teacher Associations (PTAs) could work together with the police in fighting drugs and crimes among the young.
He was speaking during a courtesy call by Parti Harapan Rakyat Sabah (Harapan Rakyat) President Brigadier General (B) Tan Sri Datuk Liew Yun Fah (JP) together with vice-president of the party YB Rina Jainal (Kukusan Assembly Woman) at the Tawau police station Friday.
He advised parents to conduct urine test on their children at home starting from Form One in order to know whether they are involved in drugs.
“Early detection is important to combat drugs rather than letting them stay involved in drugs. Many parents are crying sadly after knowing their children are involved in drugs abuse,” he said.
Meanwhile, Liew said Parti Harapan carry out various activities for the people’s well-being. He urged Tawau police could conduct seminars or talks on combating crimes and drugs, youths and safety, especially for the young people in villages.
He also hoped the Tawau police could assist in solving any crime, especially in Kukusan constituency.
