KOTA KINABALU: A local food delivery man who helped a senior citizen who fell by the roadside in Lido, here, received words of praise from netizens.
Mohd Sazwandi Sumarti, 26, the food delivery rider, uploaded a video of the incident on Facebook, Saturday.
When contacted, Sazwandi said he was on his way to deliver food from Lintas to Cybercity when he saw the old man wanting to cross the road under the Lido flyover.
Driven by intuition, he made a U-turn and saw the man had fallen face down on the road shoulder.
“I then rushed to help the ‘uncle’ along with three other delivery riders,” he said.
They then called for an ambulance that took the senior citizen to the hospital.
His video has been shared more than 3,000 times and garnered more than 4,000 views.
