Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) has chosen Kg Forest in Sandakan for its pilot project to implement its prepaid card system to prevent illegal connection activities that are costing the utility provider millions of ringgit annually.SESB first disclosed its intention to implement the prepaid card system in Sabah in February this year.
According to SESB General Manager (Distribution) Addie Ahmad, the utility company loses RM100 million annually due to illegal wiring connections throughout the State.
