Kota Kinabalu: After breaching the 200 mark the day earlier, Sabah’s Covid-19 caseload on Friday dipped to 176 cases from 205.
Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said the decrease was due to a significant drop in Penampang (-45) and Putatan (-14), while 12 districts did not record any new infections. However, Masidi said 13 districts recorded an increase compared to five that recorded a decrease, which include Lahad Datu (+7), Sandakan (+7), Tuaran (+6) and Kota Belud (+5).
“Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 80 cases, followed by Penampang (19), Tuaran (15), Sandakan (12) and Papar (9),” he said in a statement, Friday. He said 174 out of 176 cases were category one and two infections, while two cases were in category four. 72 per cent were sporadic infections. No deaths or new clusters were identified.
