ShopeeFood delivery service debuts in Kota Kinabalu

Kota Kinabalu: ShopeeFood, Shopee’s online food delivery service, made its debut in Kota Kinabalu Wednesday, its first foray into East Malaysia’s urban market from its West Malaysia operations which started in 2021.The expansion will be a boost for the local economy as it enables local merchants to adopt digitalisation and offer users a seamless experience using ShopeePay when ordering meals with ShopeeFood.

ShopeeFood has yet to operate in Sarawak.
To start off in Sabah, ShopeeFood’s coverage areas will include the State Capital CBD, Penampang, Sepanggar, Petagas, Menggatal, Inanam, Likas, Foh Sang, Damai, Bukit Padang, Lido and Luyang.
Shopee is a Singapore company and ShopeeFood online food delivery service is not available in Singapore yet.
ShopeeFood officials from Kuala Lumpur have been unable to reveal what the Shopee market share is in Sabah or any question with regard to Shopee and issues on counterfeit goods.

“Users will also be able to access good discounts and promotions from popular food and beverage brands like McDonald’s, KFC, Starbucks, Tealive, Boost Juice and many more.
“In conjunction with today’s launch, users in Kota Kinabalu can now enjoy special rebates until July 28 with our ‘All-Day Free Delivery’ and ‘Daily Super Deals Up To 50 per cent vouchers’.”
