Ranau’s RM160m water solution
“The new water treatment plant with a capacity of 60 million litres per day (MLD)  would expand Ranau’s water supply to Perancangan and increase supply to frequently affected areas namely Lohan, Skim 1, Kinaratuan, Poring and areas leading to Jalan Sandakan,” - Bernama pic for illustration only.
Kota Kinabalu: Ranau’s new RM160 million water treatment plant under the Rural Water Supply Project (BALB) is underway.

Public Works Assistant Minister Datuk Robert Tawik said a consultant is currently being appointed for the project.

He said it serves as a long-term solution to improve water supply in Ranau, adding that it would derive its water source from Sungai Mokodou.
