KUALA PENYU: The body of a teenage boy who was reported missing since last Saturday from a beach resort at Kampung Kenunok, near here, has been found.

Edward Owan, 17, was found by a villager from Kampung Tempurong, about 8km from where he was reported missing, Wednesday night.

During the incident on July 16, the victim was reported to be with six other friends at a resort in the village.

A spokesman for the Operations Centre (PGO) of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Sabah said they received a call from the village head who informed them of the discovery of a man’s body.

He said the body was found in the coastal area of Batu Luang Beach, here, at 9.55pm.
