Beluran OCPD Supt Kasim Muda said Nur Hawa Syaqira binti Jeif, 12, and Nurul Syuhada Asyqin binti Jeif, 9, went missing around 10am and police received a report at 10.24am on July 27.
“The girl’s father, Jeif Wong, 46, said the last time he saw them was about 8am on July 26 before he went to work at the plantation. He would normally leave them behind at home when he went to work,” the OCPD added.
Jeif has since posted about his missing daughters on Facebook with the hope that someone would recognise them. When contacted on Friday, he said according to witness, the last time the sisters were seen were at London Hotel, Sandakan.
“The search operation is going on at the Monsok plantation where Jeif works and the London Hotel vicinity.
“As of Friday, the sisters have yet to be found,” he said.
He urged members of the public with information on the girls to contact the Beluran police headquarters at 089-511 222 or the Investigation Officer, Inspector Muhammad Fakhrullah bin Wahab, at 013-512 6121 or come to any police station.
