Kota Kinabalu: A 2021 State Unduk Ngadau contestant said she found herself helpless when she was alone with the pageant's technical head, a former politician, who was charged with four counts of molesting her.

The 22-year-old alleged victim said she did not know what to do when Philip Among, who was on trial before Magistrate Stephanie Sherron Abbie, squeezed her shoulder and stomach at his office in Metro Town here.

“When the incident happened, I was very afraid but I didn't know what to do and only thought of going back to the hotel," she testified today.

“I could only show my uncomfortable face to Philip when he committed the act against me as I was not familiar with the place as well as the road and that I didn't know where to go.

“When my boyfriend called me at that time, I gained courage to run from the office and went down to the parking lot but my handphone’s battery was also weak.

"I was not sure whether there was anyone in the area (parking lot) at that time. After a while at the parking lot, Philip then came and asked me to go inside his car."
