New Telupid Sidang Injil Borneo exco named

TELUPID: The Borneo Evangelical Mission (BEM), better known by its BM abbreviation of SIB (Sidang Injil Borneo) church for the Telupid region, held its delegates conference here recently.

It was presided over by Rev. Edwin Tupoloh who is the Treasurer-general for SIB Sabah.

During the conference, Pastor Raymond Yuggau was elected as the new chairman for SIB Telupid for the 2022-2025 session.

Elder Kilip Bajin was elected deputy chairman and Elder Sindin Gantuang as secretary and treasurer is Elder Malisu Ukil.

Also on the committee are the 7 church leaders from throughout Telupid and 4 representatives from the various service organisations.

In his acceptance speech Pastor Raymond thanked the delegates for their confidence in him to lead the church in the Telupid area for the next three years.

Rev. Edwin at the outset of the meeting ruled that there was enough quorum with 25 delegates from 9 local SIB churches plus representatives from the various wings under the church, making the total number of eligible voters 35.

In his report tabled at the meeting, the treasurer stated that the church needed at least RM15,000 to cover expenses for its activities including administration.

Among the local SIB churches which sent delegates to the meeting were the churches from Bestaria, Telupid Town, Tapaang, Singgah Mata, Berayung, Taviu, Keramuak, Kopuron and Sanaron.
