KINABATANGAN: A 20-year-old man driving a Proton Saga and his 16-year-old passenger suffered injuries when their car collided with a tanker at a junction of Jalan Sukau Sekong Estate, here, recently.

The driver of the lorry was, however, unhurt.

The Operations Centre of the Fire and Rescue Department received a call at 9.23pm and sent five personnel led by Nurul Azlan Shah bin Jamaluddin to the scene some 17km away.

Also helping in the operation was the Health Ministry and Auxiliary Police.

The driver of the Proton Saga who was pinned at the driver’s seat was rescued by the firemen who then handed him over to the waiting ambulance.

The operation ended at 11.27pm.
