Kota Kinabalu: There is a need for more adept coaches to aid football development in the State.
Sabah Football Association (Safa) vice president cum coaching committee chairman Henry Saimpon said this in his closing speech for the FAM/Safa ‘D’ Football Coaching Course which concluded in Ranau on Wednesday.
“We are very thankful to Safa president Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin for his support in the development of football in the State. “Football coaching courses such as this will definitely trigger the development of the sport in this State with the qualified coaches produced as their knowledge will help to produce more talents at the grassroots level,” he said.
Twenty-four aspiring coaches attended the five-day course conducted by Omar Maya Amat, who said the attendees were given the opportunity to learn all about coaching the sport.
