Kota Kinabalu: The majority of Sabahans view negatively the proposal to relocate the Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) to Kimanis, after it emerged that a joint study to this effect is being undertaken by Qhazanah Sabah Sdn Bhd and the prospective developer.

They were of the opinion that Sabah has bigger priorities that need to be addressed and could not fathom how one of the nation’s poorest states could embark on such venture, even though it does not involve government funding.
