Kota Kinabalu: The Government should focus on maintaining and upgrading existing sports complexes and stadiums, instead of developing and enhancing new sports industries, said Luyang Assemblyman Phoong Jin Zhe.The former Sabah Youth and Sports Minister was responding to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob’s announcement that the Government is planning to build drag racing circuits in every State to enhance Malaysia’s motorsports scene.
“If we cannot even maintain the current facilities, how would the Government be able to maintain the racing circuits after building them?
