Electricity supply Act: Woman charged
Wong is accused of committing the offence at 5pm on March 18, 2013 at a unit in Block CT, Marina Court, Api-Api Centre here.
Kota Kinabalu: A 45-year-old woman was charged with dishonestly blocking the electric meter from recording accurately the actual electricity consumption.

Wong Suk Chin, a tourist agent, pleaded not guilty before Sessions Court Judge Ummu Khaltom Abdul Samad, after the charge was read to her in Mandarin, Monday.

Wong is accused of committing the offence at 5pm on March 18, 2013 at a unit in Block CT, Marina Court, Api-Api Centre here.

The offence under Section 37(3)(a) of the Electricity Supply Act 1990 (447Act) and punishable under Section 37(3) of the same Act which provides for a fine of up to RM100,000, or a jail term of up to three years, or both, on conviction.
