Kota Kinabalu: Organ donation is a noble deed, but its power transform lives is still being undervalued. “Every year, the number of patients waiting for an organ transplant is rising, however there is still a shortage of donors who signed up to donate their organs after they die,” said Queen Elizabeth Hospital Director Dr William Gotulis. Based on national statistics, he said there is 515,530 registered organ donors untill June 2022, and Sabah only consisted 5 percent of the number, which is only an estimated 25,000.
