Despite biggest 52pc producer of nation’s oil:
Masidi said he knows there are about 369 Sabah O&G companies but he is sure that less than half are active.
Kota Kinabalu: It is ironical that Sabah, despite being the biggest contributor of oil in the country, continues to be left far behind in terms of oil and gas (O&G) development by not only other O&G producing states like Sarawak and Terengganu but also non-O&G producing states like Johor and Malacca. State Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said he sometimes wondered why money is being put in to develop the O&G industry in states that do not even produce oil or gas.
