Kota Kinabalu: The Sandakan Scenes Centre (Scout Centre of Excellence for Nature, Environment and Sustainability) is the 28th Scenes Centre in the world.Commissioner of the Sabah branch of the Malaysia Scouts Federation, Datuk Dr Awang Zaini Hj Suntim said the Sandakan Scenes Centre is also the 3rd in the Asia-Pacific region and the first in Malaysia.
